About this geometric pattern coloring page
A walk through an oak wood in late autumn, flattened onto a page. Big oak leaves with their familiar wavy lobes are scattered edge to edge, each one split by a central vein and a few side veins. Tucked between them are plump acorns with crosshatched caps and short stalks, tumbling in every direction as if they just dropped from the branches. Nothing repeats exactly, so the page has a natural, hand-gathered feel instead of a rigid grid. With 266 regions it's a medium page, perfect for a quiet hour on a cool afternoon. Because the leaves overlap, there is no single right way to color them: work from the front leaves backward, or simply pick whichever shape catches your eye next. The gaps between the leaves form a ready-made background, and filling them last ties the whole page together.

Coloring tips
Oak leaves turn russet, bronze and deep red rather than bright orange, so lean into browns, rusts and olive. Color one side of each vein slightly darker for depth. Give the acorn caps a darker brown than the nuts and leave a thin highlight on each nut. A deep forest green or charcoal background makes the leaves glow like a real woodland floor.
