This tangle tile is round, like a coaster or a medallion. A thin outer frame encloses a disc that is split by four strings into wedge-like sections, each filled with a different pattern: aura lines, scattered circles, scales, grids, waves, orbs and more. There are 340 regions, a detailed page that rewards slow, mindful coloring. The circular format makes the finished piece feel balanced even though the sections are irregular, and it is a nice change if you enjoy both mandalas and pattern drawing. It looks especially good printed and pasted into a journal.

Coloring tips

Choose a cool palette for most sections and one warm accent section to draw the eye. The ring between the frame and the disc can be a dark color to frame the tile like a medallion. Use the eyedropper to repeat colors across sections so the tile feels unified. Printed at full size, it also makes a nice template for a hand-painted coaster or a greeting card insert, and the round shape fits neatly into a square frame.
